It’s our “overflow” folk club giving a bigger and better platform to our large band of singers, musicians, poets and wordsmiths. Come along and you will be guaranteed a floor spot - you don’t have to book ……. But dont worry if you don’t sing, play or read - it’s an excellent night of music and fun and there’s no pressure to perform. Live music and entertainment at its best!This club puts the emphasis on music rather than fundraising, but any profit we do make on the night will go to the charity of the month.
It’s a fantastic night of live entertainment - three hours of live music for only £5…… it just doesn’t get any better !

Singer, Songwriter, Playwright and Composer Alan Wood has a guitar style that is all his own and has made a name for himself at music venues throughout the North.
He doesn’t just limit himself to performing in folk clubs - he is the musical mastermind behind the highly acclaimed musical documentary “Remember The Coal” which has played to audiences throughout the North of England and South Wales.
Alan has requested that all funds raised at the club be donated to BARNSLEY HOSPICE.

The Domino Effect (a.k.a. Lainey and Dave Markham) are a local duo featuring Dave on guitar, Lainey on concertina and vocals and both on amazing harmonies !
They’ve guested at Rafters before and we love their take on music new and old including some amazing numbers they have written themselves, such as the wonderful “Brightside”- the story of hard times in Sheffield and “Moon Shines Down” - about the great Sheffield Flood. This is going to be a great evening of varied music and fun - don’t miss it!

They’re back ….. it’s the return of the Chapeltown Six . Yes, I know that makes them sound like a Terrorist Group but they are six of the best from the Booitstraps Folk Club at Chapeltown!
They did a gig for us in February and it was wall to wall fun with a goodly dose of chaos thrown in, and we are expecting more of the same this month, only with tinsel.
Please note that this club (the only one in December) is a week later than usual as Hugo wants to go and see “Remember the Coal” at Barnsley on the 12th as maybe you do as well?
